What Is CBG?

We are just a few days away from Mother’s Day, which is a perfect time to celebrate CBG, the mama bear of all cannabinoids. This powerful and effective cannabinoid building block is responsible for the incredible benefits that CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids bring to our lives. Even though CBG is not psychoactive and won’t get you high, it is still a potent cannabinoid with various therapeutic uses that can be safely used by people of all ages.

Fun fact: CBG stands for cannabigerol. We know it’s a mouthful. But let’s break it down. “Canna” as in cannabis, “bi” as in birth or origin, and “gerol” as in the precursor of cannabinoids, making it the OG of cannabinoids.

Think of CBG as the ultimate mother figure. Just as our own dear moms give us life, love, and support, CBG provided the foundation for numerous other cannabinoids to flourish. Without CBG, we might never have known the joys of CBD, the giggles of THC, or the healing powers of CBC.

CBG – The Mother Of All Cannabinoids:

Now, you might be wondering exactly how CBG became the true matriarch of the cannabinoid family.

Every story has a beginning, and our protagonist, CBG, starts life as a humble molecule called cannabigerol acid (CBGA).

Here’s the scoop: before it turns into THC, CBD, or any other cannabinoid, it starts as CBGA or cannabigerol acid. Then, as the plant matures, the CBG levels decrease, leading to higher concentrations of other cannabinoids like CBD and THC. So, if you’re a fan of these popular cannabinoids, you have CBG to thank!

What Are The Benefits Of CBG?

But here’s where things get even more interesting. CBG isn’t just a proud mama bear; she’s a powerful force in her own right. For example, it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects, making it a potentially important player in the treatment of conditions like Crohn’s disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and other gastrointestinal disorders. Plus, some studies have even shown CBG to have neuroprotective properties and could play a role in treating conditions like Huntington’s disease.

Furthermore, CBG may aid in treating glaucoma by lowering intraocular eye pressure. It has also demonstrated the potential in impeding cancer cell growth and could be used in conjunction with chemotherapy and radiation in cancer treatment!

Wait, there’s more! Additionally, CBG interacts synergistically with other cannabinoids, like CBD and THC, enhancing their effectiveness. It’s like a family reunion where everyone brings out the best in each other. And just like every family has a matriarch that holds everything together, CBG is the glue that binds all these cannabinoids together.

It is worth noting that CBG offers a beautiful aroma! The fragrance of this strain is known for its distinct blend of earthy, woody, spicy, and sweet notes with a subtle hint of citrus. It’s a well-loved aroma among cannabis enthusiasts.

So, as we celebrate Mother’s Day, let us take a moment to show our appreciation for CBG, the true matriarch of the cannabinoid family. Just like how our moms gave us life, love, and laughter, CBG has given us an incredible world of healing properties!

At JAXON, we are excited to have Mama CBG in our lives and want everyone to experience the many benefits of this remarkable cannabinoid. This Mother’s Day let’s give a little shoutout to CBG for providing us with such incredible benefits and amazing plant genetics. Whether you’re a seasoned user or new to the game, CBG is definitely worth exploring.
